Sam Houston Elementary extends our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Yarytza M. Rivera of YMR — Your Most Reliable Veterinarian Services — and her practice manager, Kimberly, for their time, passion, and dedication to our students.
In celebration of National Career Development Month, Dr. Rivera accepted the honor of becoming Bouncy the Service Dog’s official veterinarian while also inspiring our children by sharing the importance of preventative care, responsibility, and compassion when caring for animals. Her visit helped our students understand how healthy habits can positively impact both pets and their families. We also wish to thank McAllen ISD’s Director of Guidance and Counseling, Ms. Norma Cabrera, along with counselors from several district elementary campuses, for joining us in support and collaboration. Their presence reflects the strength, unity, and shared commitment of our district to providing meaningful learning experiences for all students. This event truly showcases what it means to be ALL IN!
Special recognition goes to our school counselor, Jacqueline Cantu, for organizing and coordinating this impactful experience.
